Edel Keville, a +25-year Operating Executive and former Levi Strauss, HP and Sun Microsystems HR Leader, has joined the firm’s Leadership Development practice.
Carpe Diem Global Partners announced today that Edel Keville has joined as Managing Partner of its Leadership Development Practice: Succession, High Potential, 360 Performance Reviews, Accelerated Onboarding, Leadership Development, and Team Development.
Edel has held executive positions at multibillion dollar public corporations and has been HR partner to hundreds of global leaders. Her industry experience spans five sectors: retail, apparel, technology, pharma, and consumer goods. As a global citizen, she grew up in Europe, spent over a decade of her career in London before moving to San Francisco as part of a high-potential leadership program. In addition to being a valued partner and advisor to the C-suite, Edel led HR for mergers & acquisitions in Europe for Sun Microsystems, delivered flexible work solutions to clients in the UK and US, and most recently worked as a consultant focused on leadership development.
“We are thrilled to bring Edel’s multi-decade HR operating experience to our clients most complex and critical leadership development imperatives,” said Jeff DeFazio, Managing Partner and Founder.
She started her career in the management training program at Quaker Oats and quickly progressed. She has deep experience in complex matrix structures, recognizes the cultural nuances across regions and has accumulated the wisdom to identify where the gaps are in Leadership across the enterprise.
Edel studied at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, Ireland where she received her bachelor’s degree followed by postgraduate studies in Human Resources at Middlesex University, UK. Most recently, she continued strengthening her Leadership Development skills by becoming a Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coach (ICF accredited program).
“The demands on leaders are greater than ever because of how work and business have changed in the past two years, so clients are investing more in the development of existing and new leaders. Carpe Diem Global Partners has an ideal vision and culture to continue my passion for partnering closely with clients to help their executives grow as leaders.” said Keville.
Executive Development Practice Leader Art Resnikoff said, “I am excited Edel has the same passion to reshape an industry ripe for change. Executive Search and Development has operated too long under outdated business models. Carpe Diem Partners is truly attempting to change the client and candidate experience, end-to-end. The firm can now leverage a suite of talent management services (Succession, High Potential, 360, Accelerated Onboarding, Leadership Development, and Team Development), bringing clients more continuity and value.”
